Love books, conversation, and culture? Then don’t miss the Innibos @ Kaapsehoop Book Weekend, taking place from 29 to 31 August 2025 in the enchanting mountain village of Kaapsehoop. Nestled about 28 km from Mbombela, Kaapsehoop is a scenic retreat perched atop the Drakensberg escarpment.
This literary weekend brings together top South African writers in the cozy chapel of Silver Mist Guesthouse. Expect insightful book discussions, engaging author talks, and warm cultural exchange—highlighted by a featured discussion with Marita van der Vyver about My Year of Fear and Freedom on Saturday at 10:00.
Friday begins at 15:00 with Dana Snyman presenting his latest titled Who the Hell Is Johnny Joubert?, followed by a performance by Luna Paige at 19:00.
Tickets are available at the door—R200 for the full weekend, or R30 per talk; Luna Paige’s show is priced separately at R150.
