From 22 to 26 September 2025 South African National Parks (SANParks) is once again offering free access to Kruger National Park as well as most of its 21 national parks.

Please note, free access applies to day visits only and excludes accommodation and other paid tourist activities. For details on which parks are participating and their specific dates, visit the official SANParks page: SA National Parks Week 2025.

This initiative, which began in 2006, aims to cultivate pride in South Africa’s natural, cultural and historical heritage, while offering the public an opportunity to explore the country’s most iconic protected areas.
