Since April 2025 the beloved Mafunyane Water Park in Nelspruit has closed its doors due to rising water, electricity and rental costs. Named after a legendary Kruger Park Tusker (old male elephant with notable tusks), the park had many slides such as Laughing Hyena, Zooming Zebras or Happy Hippo.
