Plants and plant nurseries in White River

If you are interested in plant nurseries, White River has plenty of options with half a dozen nurseries open to the public. 

We love plants, indigenous plants, and especially the diverse flora found in the Lowveld and mountains around the Panorama Route. We visit the following plant nurseries on a regular basis to add to discover what is new and add to our garden

Plants @ Yebo Yes

Plants @ Yebo Yes just off the R40 near Rocky Drift is one of our favourite local nurseries. You’ll find many plants including indigenous and succulents at excellent prices.

The Garden Pavilion

The Garden Pavilion just off Danie Joubert Street is a great stop over in a quiet location. Bucklands Coffee, previously known as Sabie Valley Coffee, have moved to the Garden Pavillion Nursery in 2025. Enjoy a delicious coffee and cheesecake while you are here. Larger groups can organise an educational presentation on the coffee growing and making process (advance bookings essential).

Nelspruit Nursery and Landscaping

Nelspruit Nursery at Casterbridge Hollow is the latest addition to the White River plant nursery scene. If you are at Casterbridge you have to come and see their gigantic Impala Lily. This plant was originally in a pot at the Fever Tree Nursery in Nelspruit and has now moved here.

Bloom Nursery

Bloom Nursery in Bahati is a small but nice nursery with a great collection on indigenous succulents.

Plant Wise Nursery

Plant Wise Nursery is in the centre of White River next to the Engen Garage on William Lynn Street. You can grab a coffee and quick bite here as well.

The Secret Nursery

The Secret Nursery on the Plaston Road, near Karula Hotel, has unfortunately closed.

Ezigro seedlings Nursery

If you are interested in vegetable seedling, EZ Grow Nursery is the place to go offering the best prices and huge quantities. Many local farmers big and small but their seedling from here. They also have a limited assortment of fruit trees.

They have two location, one is close to Buco White River on Nahemi Road, just after Metropolitan College. The other bigger location is Yaverland, on Yaverland Road.

Plasgrow

If you need growing and horticulture supplies for your newly acquired plants visit Plasgrow on the Plaston Road. You’ll find specialised supplies like perlite, vermiculite, fertilizers, pots and trays. Plasgrow do not sell any plants.
