Phabeni is the second closest gate to White River. The shortest route between Phabeni Gate and White River is 51km. But the fastest route is 59km and takes 56 minutes, saving you just 4 minutes.

The closest Kruger gate might take you longer to your destination

If you are travelling directly to your camp, you should be aware that the fastest way to their camp from White River is not necessarily through the closest gates. 

Travelling speeds in Kruger National Park are limited to 50km/h on tarred roads and 40km/h on dust roads. This means if travelling to Crocodile Bridge Camp, Orpen Camp or even Skukuza, driving outside the park and entering closest to your camp may be faster. This is especially important if travelling late and trying to arrive before the camp closes.

Obviously entering the nearest Kruger gate means you are travelling longer distances in the park and can enjoy the landscapes and game sightings longer.
