With both Bourke’s Luck Potholes and all activities at the Graskop Lift Closed here are alternative activities still open. Please double-check their status with the operator before committing to travelling there. Grab a raincoat and an umbrella, embrace the rainy season and make unforgettable memories by exploring in the rain.
Waterfalls, waterfalls, waterfalls - with these rains, all the waterfalls will be at their most spectacular. Though some waterfalls have closed, Berlin Falls, Lisbon Falls, Mac Mac Falls and Sabie Falls are still open. Stop and wonder at natures power!
Lowveld Botanical Garden in Nelspruit - With the amount of rain the waterfalls should no doubt be spectacular
Blyde River Canyon 3 Rondavel Viewpoints - Spend more time at this most spectacular viewpoint on the Panorama Route.
Boat ride in the Blye River Canyon lake - the boats are covered, so should offer some reprieve from the rain!
Take is slow on the Panorama Route - the panorama route itself is an attraction, especially
Sudwala Caves and Echo Caves - What better way to stay out of the rain then to be inside the earth?
Stay indoors - Visit the White River Gallery and Automobile Museum in Casterbridge
Kruger National Park - Though certain entrances and roads are closed. The main tarred roads between Numbi Gate, Malalane Gate, Phabeni Gate and Skukuza are still open. Marvel at all the normally dry “drainage lines” flow like perennial rivers - it is a sight to behold.
