Buffelskloof Private Nature Reserve

Buffelskloof Private Nature Reserve is situated near Lydenburg (Mashishing) in Mpumalanga and is internationally recognised for its botanical importance. The reserve protects montane grasslands, forests and riverine habitats and forms part of a registered Important Plant Area. Buffelskloof is particularly known for rare and endemic plant species and plays a significant role in plant conservation and research. Public access is limited and primarily focused on conservation rather than mass tourism.
