Starvation Creek Nature Reserve

Starvation Creek Nature Reserve is situated along the Mpumalanga escarpment near Sabie and protects indigenous forest, grassland and steep riverine habitats. The reserve is known for its dramatic scenery, waterfalls and short hiking trails, including viewpoints over the forested gorge. It plays an important role in conserving escarpment biodiversity and forms part of a network of protected forest areas along the Panorama Route.
